------why lie about this shit. it is no surprise that growing up in ukiah and being surrounded by a bunch of hippies, would make me feel the disgust that i possess for them. i do have a couple of hippes that i feel don't fit with the rest of them.

-----which brings me to the point of this. the 180 varial kick-flip. this trick is also known as the hippie flip. i will admit i got that shit. but the best one in the game might be mike rusczyck's. anyways i think i might have figured out the derivative to the word hippie. HIP, mean's to be cool. and they all think they are cool as shit. and PY, which is pronounced PEE. is slang for urine. a smelly discharge givin off by the human body. so in lamens terms they are smelly people that think they are cool. kinda like skateboarders, but by judging by the mass market appeal i guess that skateboarders are cool,and hippies still suck!

------------this is a good one. one day me and mexi-matt were headin to the santa rosa skatepark from a session over at the healdsburg park. we decided we needed beers, and as luck would have it there is a store on the way. and before i tell the rest of the story, let it be known that this corner market is a well known part of santa rosa to pick up day-laborers. and if you don't know what that is check the photo below. so i pop outta the car and mexi, decides to hang back and have a smoke in the parking lot. i get the beers and climb back in the car. matt get's in and is pissed all of a sudden. i ask him "what's up?" so matt begins to unravel his tale about how when i went in to get beers, some lady approached him about needing some work. and matt said "no thanks' i have a job." and after that i guess he was pissed cuz, he got profiled. i guess on the bright side if matt ever needs a job he know's where they are all way's hiring.

so what was gonna be a thanksgiving article on the 80's contest. the upland turkey shoot, crapped out. i figured with everyone putting everything on you tube, it would make a nice holiday article. so i couldn't find nothing on it. so here we are. so this article will be about the skater of the year contest. me and crellin were thinkin of who it would be. it was a toss up...... gravette, cole, malto, busenitz, and peter hewitt. i was goin with cole, just cuz been murdering it. but crellin kept claimin gravette. so i watched his and now part........i think crellin was right.

my brother vic wrote a song about it. but just in case you don't know here are a couple of rules.
1-shotgun is called, not given.

3-shotgun may only be called when it is time to head back to the vehicle.
4-if 2 or more say shotgun at the same time, then you ro-sham-bo for the seat. no 2 outta 3. first try only.

-----have you ever had one of those moments when you remembered a old pal? well when i saw this video clip of ol' dirty on the revo site.i was pretty stoked. he went through a rough patch. but skateboarding and his homies, pulled him out. james is now a family man married and in his mid 30's also, he owns his own plumbing company and bought a house 30 miles away. once in a blue moon i will hear a rare sighting of him. i wish he would move back to rosa cuz, fun was always to be had when cutty james was around.
if you watch the clip there are some other scumbags in there you might notice. so watch the style of ol' dity james. aka cutty. his back 3's are fukkin proper. skateboarding is forever, and forever james is a skateboarder.

what sucks is, the older i get the more i notice death. not only my mortality but those around me. even things that discarded by the social mainstream, that i think are cool. it all seems to have one thing in common. it eventually dies and most poeple could give a shit less. imagine to my surprise that the 80's legend captian lou albano had passed. shit i had the t.v. on last night and i heard nothing about it. i bet if that bitch kate from that t.v. show farted, everyone would know. imagine my surprise when i read it in the obituary of my local paper. for those of you who read this and don't know let me tell you. in the 80' the wwf had just came out. before all this over-produced bullshit now, that you call wrestling. that time period had fukken cool ass characters. and captain lou was one of them. shit wwf even had a cartoon in the 80's. bet most of you had no idea. well before i get all old and codgery, raise a tall for captian lou. that guy gave me and my brothers alot of kick-ass, brother time together watchin the ol' boob tube.
